As part of our first explorations of our new central idea 'Stories are shared and responded to in different ways', we spent some time imagining new stories for characters from some stories that we already knew and were familiar with.
We had explored the natural art work of Andy Goldsworthy with Ms. Caz in our art lessons and they served as great inspiration for new settings for our stories. We used some of these pieces as 'story mats' moving The Gruffalo and Where the Wild Things Are characters around to tell new tales. After lots of play and ideas in our storytelling groups we recorded our stories using the Puppet Pals app on the iPads. Some of us also created the characters out of clay. |
