Our Star Name routine is our invitation to alphabet knowledge in Kindergarten 1. For the last two weeks we have been investigating our Star Name Max. We have studied the form of the letters, including what they look like and sound like. We've also practiced writing Max's name in our word study journals, outside with chalk, and in our sand tracing journals. What fun we've had learning some new letters, as well as more about one of our new friends!
