Yesterday we practiced and extended our patterning skills with a patterning workshop in our classroom. We used lots of loose parts and materials like paint and chalk to demonstrate our knowledge. During our workshop, we had a free choice of stations and materials inside and outside of our classroom. We showed a lot of independence and responsibility by remaining focused and concentrated on our patterns and respecting the space and work of our friends in the class. We also treated the materials with a lot of care. During our patterning workshop, some students volunteered to be student photographers. They took turns using one of the iPads to photograph their friends' completed patterns. Here are some of those images:
